Miss T's Classroom.

When it is pouring with rain we play a game of danger ball.  It is where you have a ball, a referee and a class.  The referee makes sure the game is played right, everyone spreads out in the room.  The players pass the ball around, if the ball is dropped that player that tries to catch it is out, unless it was a bad throw and it landed right in front of the person, then the thrower is out.  If the ball touches something, the person that threw it is out, it is a really fun game to play when it is raining.

I am 9, turning 10 on 23 of August.  I like sport, lego and school.  The subject I really like is Reading, because it is fantastic and you get to find out new words.  The reason I like Lego is because if it falls apart you can put it back to gether.  I love sport so much.  My pets; I have one dog named Caramel and one cat named Gracie, my dog is one and a half, my cat is two and a half years I think.  The foods I really like are pasta, burgers and wedges.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Hi my name is Harry, I am nine years old I have one brother and one sister.  I am a twin with my brother we just don’t look alike.  My favourite sport is  soccer.  My birthday is on the sixth of september.  We have sixteen pets in our family.  I like my avatar because it is of me playing soccer.  My favourite food is chocolate chip cookies.  My hobby is origami whitch means folding paper, I can make a bird and when you pull it’s tail it’s wings flap. I can make a water bomb, a cat, a dog and many other things.                       

Hi my name is Emma.  I am 9 years old.   My favourite sport is netball and I love chocolate.

My two best friends are Tessa and Kim.  I did my avatar because I love flowers my favouritie subject at school is spelling.

  I have six in my family my mum, dad, two sisters and one brother. I have two cats Pip and Pete,  Pip has brown, ginger and white fur.   =]

It all started when Mrs E came she said we have to a Diorama about a fairy tale. I chose Puss in Boots beacause I thought it might be fun.  I  really needed some help, so I asked Patrick if he could help, he said yes!  It was really hard but we could handle it.  It looks really cool.  We put heaps of colour in it and lots of pictures.  Patrick took some pictures of it .  They look really good.  We took grass and put it at the bottom of the box.  We had lots of fun doing it.  I hope we can do it again when Mrs E comes back from the other class at  another school. She will be staying there for three weeks.  But she said she’ll miss us.       

Have you ever been lost before?  Trust me, you don’t want to be, it’s HORRIFYING!  I was lost once. (Well really it was twice) I was lost for 30 minutes. It first started when I was in the toy section, I wanted show my Mum something and THATS! when it happened.  At first I felt OK, I started to walk around looking for her, but when I reached the CD and DVD section, that’s when I began to feel worried.  Now I started jogging around, then I became terrified, I ran around  desperately looking for her.  Finally, just when I was about to give up she found me. I was relieved when I saw her. Now that’s why I always go looking for my Mum every 5 minutes in a shop.

Since the middle of March people from our school and lots of other schools in Paraparaumu have been training for Mastermind.  Mastermind is when kids read books from the New Zealand children’s book awards and answer questons about them.  This may sound easy, but let me assure you it is not very easy at all.  In our team we have Kate, Braidey, Jorden, DJ and me with Jac as a back up.  Our first Mastermind test was on Tuesday and when we got through to the final with 43 points our heads almost popped off, we were dancing round the playground.  Sadly our senier team did not do so well, they came about fourth but they did their best.  Today is Friday, the day of the final Mastermind test and when we heard what we were up against we were not to sure, but we did not let ourselves lose hope.  What a shame we had very bad luck in the finals, turns out we came last. Stuck with 33, even lower than our first round, bummer, but every team got a prize so misfortune wasn’t so bad, we got a free pass to any movie, a ten dollar book voucher from Paper Plus and a pile of books for our school library.  We did lose, but it was a great experience and I’m doing it each year till we win first prize!

WOW Week 3

- Room

If  you  have  a  4x  times  table  you  don”t   know, use  the  2x  times  tables. Why?  Because you  just  need  to  know  your two times tables. This is  how  to  use  it:  so  lets  say  it’s  4×6. 2×6  would  be  12 so  then  you  just  double  it. So  it  will  be 24. That  is  not all. You can even  do  8×6  and  16×6. Just  use  the  doubling  way.

I’ve got a cat, he’s got white paws and white feet, he’s mostly ginger.  He’s six years old and he’s thirty five in cat years so he’s pretty old, I got him when I was four I’m ten now, he got given to me because the people who owned him couldn’t look after him.  He’s got a friend called “Nugget,” Nugget has black fur all over, she is really shy she sometimes runs away from every stranger who comes near her.   He spends most of the day sleeping on my bed and most of his night time outside,  Gizmo always goes next door all the time.  When he’s not sleeping.  One time he got lost in a huge field and it took us three days for us to find him.  He spends most of the day sleeping on my bed and most of his night time outside.
