Kim’s Speech
Finally Kim’s Speech. She was a little rushed as there is so much going on in her life at the moment. She and her family are off to the USA in about a week. They will be living there for a few years. Outside Washington somewhere. She can leave a comment perhaps to tell us exactly where. I am sure its going to be very exciting.

Wow Kim, do you get another break besides the one 10.30 to 11.00? I just thought you might not be able to shop during the blizzard! We are having pretty yucky weather here. Although Christmas Day was fine which was great. We missed you soon as you went, and no doubt we will miss you next year. I am having Year 6 (so that’s same students) with some Year 5′s. I am really looking forward to having the same class.

Students are back on the 2nd of Feb. I was just thinking yesterday we should make a short video at some time and put it on the blog so that people can say hi to you. They are so slow when it comes to writing!!!
Wow 8am. A long day. I have heard schools in USA do have longer days, Mrs B had a friend who taught over there for a year. All the kids were lined up and taken to the toilet together! I think they are way more security conscious, I guess they need t be. As far as I know you get different teachers during the day, so I guess the day might have more in it. I wonder does the school have class blogs. Let us know if they do, and we can visit!!

We have a webcam so maybe tomorrow I
January 7th, 2010 at 9:06 am
You know Kim you’ve given me an idea. I must get a web cam, they’re not that expensive. Some of the others could then make comments with it. Think I’d need to use the microphone as well, because I don’t have inbuilt mic. That’s why we didn’t hear Stella that time, she mustn’t have had a mic.

Good ideal maybe we can try it before they get back to school so we know it works. We had one but it is somewhere in the sea pack and we couldn’t wait for it so we brought a new one here in Washington it was cheap.
bye mistea

Ok Kim, I have one, but will take me a few days to unpack it and work out how to use it. Got it in a sale! That made me feel good. Hope it works!!!!

Hi Miss Trask,
it’s Andy Shaw here. To Install the Webcam you will need to locate the enclosed CD-rom and insert it into the computer. You then simply follow the instructions that appear on the screen. It should step you through the process. Hope all is well.
regards
Andy Shaw

Thanks Andy, will get on to that. Then it should work, I guess I am stalling because I am a bit nervous about it, but it should work.

Kim you are right and I will. Must talk to Mrs B about it and do a trial run with her. When we get back to school will try to set up a time with you from school if I can get it to work there. Maybe your Sunday might work as it will be our Monday. Keep looking out and I will make a post when we are ready and we can organise a time.
