A visit from the police at three o’clock in the morning is never good news. For fourteen year old Alex Rider it was no where near good news. His only relative left had died in what the police had said described as a car crash. Alex was only left with the housekeeper, Jack his best friend. In the following days Alex meets his uncle’s (Ian Rider’s) work mate and boss. Wanting to know more about the death of Ian Rider, Alex goes to see the car at the breakers yard. There Alex discovers the truth but in doing so gets himself into a job he does not like.

Pleased to hear you are enjoying this book, I enjoyed it too. I think all the rest of the series is in the school library for anyone that wants to read on.

It sounds like a really good book. I’ve watched the movie before and it wasn’t very exciting, but the book sounds better. Have you watched the movie before?
I’m thinking of reading this book. How many in the series?
