My Trip to…
On the 25th of August this year (2012), my family and I went to Gold Coast Australia, for a Holiday. We took a plane from Wellington International Airport. My family had to get up at 3:15am and I had just got back from Ski Camp the day before. We caught a taxi taking us straight to the Airport, and then after a long hour, going through bag checks and customs, we were allowed to enter our plane.
After a 3 hour plane ride we entered Australian territory. and after half an hour, we caught our ride with Dad’s mate, and we left the airport, to our apartment complex.
On the 27th of August, we caught a Bus to MOVIEWORLD! I had been waiting so long to get the chance to go to Movieworld, and I got my wish. The first ride my family and I went on was the Roadrunner rollercoaster and it only took 47 seconds (I counted) and It was AWESOME. NExt stop, Bumper Cars. This ride was one of my favourites. The Bumper Car I chose was a Gold ‘n’ Silver one. Bang, crash, bump. Those were the sounds that I can explain, other than laughing, and It was fun.
But my favourite ride was: The Scooby-Doo Spooky coaster. I was already ramped up from the other rides I’d been on, and I couldn’t wait to go on. The only problem, there was a queue. I took ages to get on, but after a half hour, we got on. Whoosh. The first part was amazing, the ups and downs and everything. Until we got to the elevator. The object of the rollercoaster was to scare you, and I got a mighty fright when the elevator stop, and we went BACKWARDS! That was something I wasn’t expecting. After the backwards part was over the Coaster Car turned around, and whoosh, whoosh, we were going so fast and the corners were so sharp the car swerved to the left and the right. ERRRRRRRRRRRK. We came to a stop. that was the end of our Scooby-Doo adventure.
There was one last thing I wanted to see: The HollyWood Stunt Driver. All quiet on set. Lights…camera… Car chase carnage in 3…2….1…
ACTION PACKED EXCITEMENT!!
Hear the screaming brakes, smell the burnt rubber and see how it all comes together on a real-live movie set. The breathtaking stunts and precision driving by real life professional stunt drivers… So close you can feel it. It was amazing. The cars on their sides, motorbikes doing wheelies, blowing cars in half, cars driving off house roofs EXPLODING! That’s the easiest way to share it.
After that we didn’t have much time left before we had to go. So after I watched my Mum and Sister on the Batwing Attraction, we left. When we were on the bus, my Mum asked me what I thought of MovieWorld, and all I could say was ‘WOW’.

Hi Charlotte,
I did go to Sea World and Wet n Wild, but I picked Movieworld because it was the one I wanted to go to the most and it was my favourite. My favourite ride at Wet n Wild was the Tornado, and my favourite ride at Sea World was, the ‘Jet Rescue’.

Hi Daniel,
I know you loved Movie World so much and you should do some other post on Sea World and Wet’n'Wild Water World on you’r blog it would be so awesome telling viewers on your blog what we did. If you didn’t know but I wanted to go to dreamworld and go on the mega drop. I really wanted to go on it because it looks scary but you never know what would happen because I went on the BatWing. Movie World was 10 out of 10 as well as the others I loved all the theme parks we went to. I hope Mum and Dad can let us go again or plan another trip to Gold Coast. I hope we do get another chance to go.
