The First School Day of 2013
So before school started, Jordan came in to help deliver Brooke to her new room. Jordan starts college tomorrow. All the best Jordan.
In the background by my computer you can see the beautiful speakers Teegan gave us when she left in 2012. We used them today, so easy to hear those book trailers we watched.
I am holding one of those mugs Emma gave me at the end of 2012. So everytime I drink that must have cup of coffee before school starts I am reminded of Emma.

Hi Miss T,
Nice to see that the speakers are good and working. We ad our first day of college yesterday. It started with an hour long assembly welcoming us to the college and telling us how things will be going during the day. At the end we got split into our form classes. Emma is in mine. Vicky, Stevie and Daniel are in another and I think Nathan, Connor and Antonio are in the same as well.
We have PE, Science, Math and Ess (english and social studies) all with our form class. My form teacher takes us for PE as well. I got lost on my way to ESS in the afternoon but I am very proud to say today I was showing people where to go.
Today I had to option classes, they were film making and Philosophy. Connor was in both of them and Stevie was in Film making but both of them sit on the opposite side of the class to me.
In science we learnt about bunsen burners and how they work. In Ess we interviewed someone we didn’t know and then wrote an interview summary. We also wrote a page about ourselves to the teacher. In Math we are having a test soon and being put in classes according to how well we do but in the meantime we are looking at magic squares and ended the lesson with a quarter of an episode of Mr Bean.
Well that is it so far tomorrow I have PE and buisness studies which I haven’t had yet.

P.S I might be coming in tomorrow as we have a late start on thursday to drop your book back and to give my uniform n so I’ll see everyone tomorrow

It was really great to see you today. Wow, you have been so busy at college that I am amazed that you had the energy to comment.
I hope you were not too late getting to college! A big ouch moment when we realised you had missed your Dad and sister. She would have been late too.
Hope it wasn’t too bad facing in late! Come see us again.

Having a special mug in the staff room is very important!! Choosing a new mug for a new job/year is just as important. It has to be just the right size/colour and pattern. Mine this year is white with big red polka dots

Your mug sounds awesome. Emma gave me a pack of four, I decided to share with staff as we were a bit short of the right sized mugs! However I always make sure I get one when I open the drawer!
Looking forward to visiting your blog. Would love to make some connections and learn about your part of South Africa.

Hi Miss T,
I didn’t end up late for school so yeah. Today we got a major timetable change so now I am doing French and electronics instead of film and business studies in the first two terms. This is the third timetable I’ve had so far.
Today we also got our student I.D photos taken. Today our P.E class also played another year 9 P.E class in Bench ball and bet them both times

Thank goodness you weren’t late, I have to say I was pretty worried! What a lot of timetable changes. I guess colleges have difficulty getting this organised. I’m disappointed you aren’t doing film to later but I guess your turn will come around.
Joseph came in after school yesterday. His athletics were washed out at St Pats in town, so he came home early. The only day to rain after such hot weather.
I know of at least two students who are missing your year group very much. It is taking us (me too) awhile to adjust.
