What a busy first week! You all certainly packed a lot into it – and it was a short week too. All the best room 8 for a wonderful year together.

I am really happy that you have enjoyed the first week. The class is certainly settling in and achieving some excellent learning.
The slideshow was funny, or not so funny, because I did it three times, each time I had to stop and I thought it hadn’t saved. It took me ages to do. It turns out it saved each time, and I had wasted a lot of time. I was annoyed with myself that I panicked.
I will have to get you on to clicking some photos!

Hi Miss T,
On Thursday it was our school athletics day. We separated into our houses for the day. I was in Moana with Vicky, Emma, Antonio and quite a few of my other friends. All the year nines were entered into four events I did the shot-put, high jump, long and 400 meter. I got into the long jump finals but I no jumped my jump so I got disqualified.
In the house standings Moana came 3rd. At the lunch break we were coming second but the seniors didn’t help the year nines very much. Moana won the yr 9 boys and yr 9 girls house relays. My friend Kayla broke two records, the 1500 metre by 8 seconds and the 800 metre by four seconds.
The day was really fun and now I have four light lines on my face because I had face-paint on and it tanned around the lines.
Hope you guys are having fun

The sports sound like a lot of fun. The year nines certainly excelled. A pity your jump was a no jump, however they happen from time to time! Joseph called in after school one day, the day St Pats town had their athletics it was rained out. He was able to come home early.
I am smiling at the lines that you now have sunburned into your face and imagining them.
We are settling back into work. We had the Waikanae poos day on Frinday and everyone had a heap of fun. Just quietly there are a couple of people here still finding it hard to settle back without you all. They do miss you. However next year they will be into college life and will be ready for it.
Thanks for the update.
