where learning rocks!

Mission Day 2011

Every year we spend a morning fund raising so that we have some money to send to overseas children who are in need, or sometimes New Zealand. Today was that day. The weather was fine and we had a lot of fun as usual. Well done Year 7, you did a fantastic job with your games. Year 8 you were fabulous on the stalls. Up there with the best. Thank you all.
We made over $1920 and still have some bits and pieces of coins to add in! Well done.

Camp visit to Vertical Horizens in Inglewood.

Last week we had a fabulous week of outdoor activities at camp. The weather was excellent – but the water was cold!! Everyone was tired by the end of it and Miss T had Dino and Ambros asleep in the car coming back!

Hippies, Hobos, Hoods, Hairdressers……

Today is “H Day” throughout the whole school district. Every school has people walking around dressed as something beginning with H. We are raising money for a hydro slide for the new district swimming pool. We hope that at least about $10 000 will be raised today because of all the schools effort. Here are some of us dressed up to go.

2011. Happy New Year.

new year  Happy New Year to all our visitors around the world.  May 2011 bring you many blessings.  For us our first blessing is the month of January on holiday.  The weather is sunny and we are out and about and doing the things we like, or just resting up.

We will be back in February.  We will this year have a number of students who were in the class last year, and some who have been in it before a few years back, and now have the chance of another taste!  To all of you a Happy New Year.  In the meantime enjoy the holidays.  Come back refreshed, ready to learn new things and become even more powerful learners than before.

Mission Day 2010

Once a year we take a morning out for some fun that raises money for those people living in parts of the world who have experienced disasters or struggles of various kinds.  Today we raised just  over $2000 that we will be able to send out in 2011.  For a school not much more than 130, I think that’s excellent.  Well done team.
