We have learned about using various mental strategies for smaller numbers. Now Teegan and Simone show how we might manage larger numbers for solving subtraction with whole numbers.
As you will have noticed it’s not all serious.
Some of us have been learning about using subtraction algorithms for numbers that are too big to deal with in our heads. Mrs Yollis has a very good video explaining subtraction when there are zeros to work with. Watch it as many times as you need to understand. Only the Year 8s and Joseph’s group in Maths need to view it. The rest of the class leave it alone for now.
